A tempermental gelding with poor conformation and modest breeding, John Henry became one of the greatest racehorses of the 20th century. Twice Horse of the Year, he was ultimately retired at the Kentucky Horse Park where he was visited by thousands of fans until his death in 2007 at the age of 32.
